Now, not bizarre, but very exciting, I FINALLY got hold of a copy of 'Unspoken'. Yippee!
It was on display in my local library and it leapt off the shelf at me. My heart pounded and I wanted to yell "I have been waiting for this" but I figured the librarians would think I was nuts.
But I still haven't seen Unspoken in the shops in New Zealand. Don't worry, I will still buy a copy when I see it.
Anyway... I loved it. I took it on holiday with my husband and kids to the beautiful Nelson region in New Zealand. Started reading it on the plane and complained bitterly two days later (halfway through the holiday) when I'd finished it. Loved it. Love the story from different perspectives. Loved how I was kept guessing. Fantastic.
Now, if only I could get my hands on the 4 novels you've written but I have yet to read...
Thanks, Mel! So glad you loved Unspoken. And that you got to read it in such beautiful surroundings.
My 6 novels - well, I'm almost done writing the 6th, so that won't be in your hands for a few months yet (I have a title - all will be revealed soon). Novels 4 and 5 are Blood Ties and Unspoken. Novels 2 and 3 are...quite different to say the least, and were written under another name. They were 'adult romances' and while I'm very proud of them and the Black Lace series of novels are excellent :-) it's very different to what I write now. My very first novel, Out of Mind, was published by a small UK press called Bluechrome and is now out of print.
Hope you can wait for the next one. Writing as fast as I can! Sam xx
My name is Sam Hayes and I write novels steeped in suspense, emotions, family drama and crime. I put my characters in terrifying situations and examine their reactions. I pull apart their relationships and see if they recover. I write about real life.
A hard-hitting debut thriller' ELLE. A miss-your-bus-stop page-turner HEAT. Gripping CLOSER. An emotional thriller that'll keep you on the edge of your seat LOOK.
UNSPOKENwas published in the UK in hardback July 2008 and available in paperback from February 2009.
TELL TALE was published in the UK in November 2009
